THE CENTRAL COAST AND HUNTER REGION SPECIALIST IN SOLAR POWER INSTALLATIONS

6 & 12 Monthly inspections
Anything to do with electricity is hazardous and requires professional attention. Added to that, climbing on your roof is not a good idea - there's a reason we wear harnesses. Redshift Solar offer periodic maintenance inspections, to ensure your investment in solar power is producing the results you want, while reducing the risk of problems with the system.
- AS/NZ 5033 outlines 13 steps to include in maintenance procedures, according to the location, size and design of the solar PV system.
- The Renewable Energy Electricity Act 2000 requires random inspections each year of solar installations that received (STCs).
- Redshift Solar carries out the 13 steps plus examining your system yield and checking safety devices.
- PV modules should be inspected every 6 & 12 months, looking for cracks, moisture penetration and cable integrity.
- Electrical testing will verify that the system is working at optimum levels.

Fixing Systems & Common Issues
Is your inverter showing a fault on the screen? Perhaps you have fault codes on the screen. Maybe your inverter shows no signs of life at all. Or after a few days of bad weather you want to know your PV panels are not damaged or covered in leaves or dirt. You can always book with us to have an inspection carried out, just drop us an email anytime
- Some information out there will tell you that a good hose down is all your panels really need. Our advice is let our professionals take care of your investment. So just like the solar PV panels, we can be on top of it all
- Panels that were wrongly installed in the first place just won’t do the job. Redshift Solar will address issues that are standing in the way of solar power success.
- Having debris like branches trapped under the panels must be avoided, especially in hot weather.
- Remember, PV systems are not mechanical, they’re electrical. Call us to have your system carefully examined with measurements taken to prove system operating stability.
